Domain Names in General

Domain names individualize a company and its products on the internet. Domain names, company names and trademarks are to some extent used for the same purpose. Before a company starts using a company name or a trademark, it is advisable to find out, whether the name can also be registered as a domain name.

Domain name services are provided by internet providers operating both in Finland and abroad. Domain names with the Finnish country code ending (.fi) must, however, be applied from your own domain name registrar.
