    Hybrid Employment Contracts

An employment contract may be concluded as a combination of a fixed-term contract and a contract valid until further notice. This kind of an agreement is generally called a hybrid employment contract.

A hybrid employment contract is for example a fixed-term contract which may be terminated during the contract period. The employer must even then have a lawful reason for terminating the contract and both parties must comply with the notice periods.

The employer and employee may also agree that the contract continues on the basis of a new fixed-term or until further notice if the contract is not terminated within a specified period before its expiry.
