Employment Contracts Valid until Further Notice
Employment contracts are generally concluded to be valid until further notice. This means that the employment relationship is permanent, therefore also referred to as a permanent employment contract.
A permanent employment contract continues to be valid until one of the contract parties terminates it. When terminating an employment contract, the terminating party must comply with a notice period. The employer must have a legal ground for termination and it may, in practice, be difficult to achieve this as the ground must be strong. The employee, on the other hand, is not required to present grounds for termination but must comply with the notice period.
