Registration of Activities
A lighter procedure for advance control compared to the environmental permit and general notification procedure is registration of activities that may cause danger of pollution. The Appendix 2 of the Environmental Protection Act stipulates such activities which are required to submit notice for registration to the municipal environmental protection authority. Activities requiring a registration notice are, for example, asphalt and concrete plants. Medium-sized energy production facilities are required to register the activity 30 days before commencing. The time limit for other activities is 60 days. For some waste management activities the registration notice must be submitted within sufficient time before commencing the activity. Upon receiving necessary and sufficient information for the registration, the competent authority notifies the responsible party of the registration.
