Impacts on Neighboring Real Estates
Situations where actions performed on a neighboring or nearby real estate cause harm to the use of another real estate are regulated in the Adjoining Properties Act.
A business must take into notice the harm caused to the neighboring real estates. Namely, a real estate, a building or an apartment is not to be used in a way which causes unreasonable harm to a neighbor, a person residing nearby or unreasonable harm caused by e.g. smell, noise, light or other similar affects to a person possessing a nearby real estate, building or apartment. Causing such unreasonable harm can result in the action becoming subject to an environmental permit under the Environmental Protection Act.
