General Information on Environmental Law
In this section we will take a brief insight in the regulations regarding environmental matters and introduce the most common statutory obligations of companies regarding environmental law. The field of environmental law includes amongst others the use of land and permit procedures relating to the use of land as well as different permits relating to pollution of the environment. Building is generally regarded as a special field of environmental law, but here it is discussed as its own for clarity’s sake.
Environmental law handles regulation of the physical environment. Environmental law consists of the planning of land use and maneuvering building, permit mechanisms aiming at preventing the pollution of the environment and general principles of preserving the environment, procedures relating to environmental impact assessment, conservation of nature and natural resources, regulation of the use of waters, exctraction of land and utilization of other natural resources as well as the formation of real estate and expropriation.
