Personality and Aptitude Assessments in Connection with the Recruitment Process

Personality and aptitude tests always require the consent of the applicant. However, the employer does not have to hire a person who doesn’t take part in all stages of the recruitment process. The employer must ensure that the test methods used are reliable, the performers are proficient and that the results of the testing are faultless. The employer or tester shall provide the employee with a statement based on the assessment free of charge. If the statement is given orally, the employee must be given an explanation of the content of the statement at the employee’s request.

Certified members and member associations of the Finnish Psychological Association can at least be considered proficient performers.
