Term of License Agreements

A license agreement should set out the term of the license. Agreements are often for lengthy, fixed term agreements. A license agreement can include a termination clause.

A license agreement must always take into account the post-termination period, in order to prevent confidential information being made public. Prevention of disclosure and utilization of confidential information may be attempted by including a non-competition clause and a confidentiality clause in the agreement.
