    Additional Benefits and Special Offers

Nowadays the use of additional benefits and special offers is allowed even if there is no connection between the products offered.

If consumer goods are advertised at a combined price so that by purchasing a product there is a discount on the price of another product or other benefits are offered, it must become clear from the marketing what the actual offer is and its value. Marketing goods at a combined price must also set out the individual prices for the goods, unless the price of the goods would be less than 10 euros if purchased separately. The seller must also state the terms and conditions of the offer, particularly the duration of the offer and quantitative and other restrictions.

If the conditional purchase promotion is marketed as free, the marketing must state how much the consumer has to pay for the main product in order to obtain the benefit. When marketing products that are of special interest for children, the additional benefit may not play the main role.
